EuroGames Vienna 2024 – Be part of it!

Wir freuen uns, dass in der Kletterhalle Wien am 18. und 19.Juli im Rahmen der EuroGames Vienna 2024 erstmalig ein Kletter- und ein Boulderbewerb stattfinden werden.
Um möglichst vielen Personen, unabhängig von ihrer Klettererfahrung, eine Teilnahme zu ermöglichen, werden beide Bewerbe in einem einfachen "Jam Modus" abgehalten.
Wer an beiden Tagen nur zum Zuschauen und Anfeuern vorbeikommen will, zahlt keinen Eintritt.
Details zum Ablauf der Bewerbe
Donnerstag, 18.Juli - Boulder Competition an der Outdoorwand:
Einlass: 9 Uhr
Jam Mode/ Qualifikation: 9:30 bis 12:30 Uhr
Finale: 13:30 bis 15 Uhr
Im Anschluss findet die Sieger*innenehrung statt.
Beim Infopoint im Outdoorgelände bekommt ihr euren Laufzettel. Es wird 12 Boulder pro Leistungsgruppe geben, die ihr in der vorgegebenen Jam/Quali Zeit klettern könnt. Tragt die von euch erreichten Punkte auf dem Laufzettel ein und gebt den Zettel dann beim Infopoint bis spätestens 12:30 ab. Infos zum Punkteschlüssel bekommt ihr vor Ort.
Die Teilnehmenden mit der höchsten Punktezahl kommen ins Finale und müssen dort drei weitere Boulder absolvieren. Die Finalist*innen treten nacheinander an und haben für jeden Boulder 4 Minuten Zeit.
Freitag, 19.Juli - Seilkletter Competition Indoor:
Einlass: 9 Uhr
Jam Mode/ Qualifikation: 9:30 bis 13:30 Uhr
Finale: 14:30 bis 16 Uhr
Im Anschluss findet die Sieger*innenehrung statt.
Beim Infopoint bekommt ihr euren Laufzettel. Es wird rund 5 Routen pro Leistungsgruppe geben, die ihr in der vorgegebenen Jam/Quali Zeit klettern könnt. Pro Route gibt es nur einen Versuch, je weiter ihr kommt desto mehr Punkte gibt es. Tragt die von euch erreichten Punkte auf dem Laufzettel ein und gebt den Zettel dann beim Infopoint bis spätestens 13:30 ab. Infos zum Punkteschlüssel bekommt ihr vor Ort.
Die Teilnehmenden mit der höchsten Punktezahl kommen ins Finale und treten in der Finalroute nacheinander an.
WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Bitte bringt für die Seilkletter-Qualifikation im Jam eure eigene Sicherungsperson mit oder connected mit anderen Teilnehmenden. Im Finale werdet ihr vom Kletterhalle Wien Team gesichert.
Die EuroGames sind die führende Multisportveranstaltung in Europa, bei der die Vielfalt der sexuellen Orientierung, Geschlechtsmerkmale und Geschlechtsidentität gefeiert wird. Die EuroGames bieten eine Reihe von Sportarten, darunter Klettern, Leichtathletik, Basketball, Schwimmen, Volleyball und viele andere. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, Inklusion und Vielfalt im Sport zu fördern sowie Stereotypen und Diskriminierung von LGBTIQ+-Personen im Sport zu bekämpfen.
Die EuroGames haben sich zu einem wichtigen Event für die LGBTIQ+-Community in Europa und darüber hinaus entwickelt. Das 1992 ins Leben gerufene Hauptziel besteht darin, einen sicheren Raum für alle zu schaffen, in dem sie zusammenkommen und Sport treiben können.
EuroGames richten sich in erster Linie an LGBTIQ+-Sportler (Lesben, Schwule, Bisexuelle, Transgender, Intersexuelle, Queer), stehen aber allen offen, unabhängig von sexueller Orientierung, Geschlechtsidentität, Alter und sportlichen Vorkenntnissen.

The Kletterhalle Wien is happy to host the climbing and bouldering competition on 18th and 19th of July during the EuroGames Vienna 2024 .
The competition will take place in a simple "Jam Mode" so that as many people as possible can take part, regardless of their climbing experience.
Final information for the competition
Thursday 18. July 2024 - Boulder Competition (Outdoor)
Entry: 09:00
Jam Mode/ Qualification: 09:30 – 12:30
Final 13:30 – 15:00
Award ceremony
At the info point you will get your list of the competition boulders. There will be 12 boulders in your chosen level which you can climb. Note the points you have reached on your own routing sheet.
The participants with the highest points, compete in the final.The finalists compete on 3 final boulders one after the other. There´s going to be a time limit of 4 minutes for each of the 3 final boulders. (world cup style)
Friday 19. July 2024 – Rope Climbing Competition (Indoor)
Entry: 09:00
Jam Mode/Qualification: 09:30 – 13:30
Final: 14:30 – 16:00

At the info point you will get your list of climbing routes for the competition. There will be around 5 routes in your chosen level which you try to climb. (Toprope or lead climbing) You have only 1 try in each of the routes (flash-modus). You get as many points as far as you got.
Note the points you have reached on your own routing sheet. The participants with the highest points, compete in the final. The finalists compete one after the other in the final route.
IMPORTANT FOR THE ROPE CLIMBING JAM: Bring your own belayer or connect with other competitors at the info point! In the finals the Kletterhalle Wien Team is going to belay the finalists.

EuroGames are primarily aimed at LGBTIQ+ athletes (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer), but are open to everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, age and previous sporting knowledge.
